About Me

My name is Taleisha Stec-Marksman, and I am a psychotherapist registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I work from a culturally-responsive, trauma-informed, person-centred lens. I mainly use methods and techniques derived from Talk Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Reality Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. 45-50 minute sessions with me include a lot of inner child work, and learning ways to cope on your own without having to depend on others to be your safe space.

Generally I work with clients between the ages of 11-20 regarding general mental health problems. This include, but are not limited to, stress, anxiety, school issues, family issues, depression, and relationship issues. Sessions are always done remotely through the platform "Owl" which abides by privacy and confidentiality laws. In person "walk therapy" can be requested during spring and summer, and if you reside in Brampton, Georgetown, or Mississauga. For more information on walk therapy, please contact me.

It is important to note that I do not, 'nor am I legally allowed to diagnose clients. I am here to help with your emotional and mental journey whether you have a diagnosis or not.
